Lee Brantley

Can’t see the forest for the trees? Sometimes, actually, we don’t see the trees for the forest. I feel compelled to create art, with photography being the medium of choice. Visually, life is a collection of rectangular graphic compositions such as the old treasure hidden by the new construction, a wonderful surprise down a hidden alleyway and that ramshackle barn that demands I turn the car around! I have has discovered that a neglected church on a backroad can hide an entire “congregation” of colorful treasures and the graffiti under a bridge contains true artistry. I sees things in shop windows that contain a different message. All these things, plus old trains, overgrown trails and much more, offer me an opportunity to create my personal photographic images of “eclectic details”.

I am originally from Montgomery, Alabama and hold a BFA from Auburn University. My entire career was spent in management of local television stations and I retired in 2013. Photography has been my artistic passion for 40 years. Currently my images are on display at Gallery on Tenth and Two Sister’s Gallery in Columbus, Georgia.

I have many awards and ribbons from various shows and have had one-man shows at The Sautee-Nacoochee Gallery and The Rankin Center for Photography in Columbus.
